Q: Can I still turn in donations?
A: You can continue to receive online donations on your personal fundraising web page until Friday, June 14. You can also mail checks, money orders, and Matching Gift Forms to the AIDS Walk New York office all year round, but the deadline to collect donations to qualify for Fundraising Incentive Awards or to be credited to your team’s fundraising total is Friday, June 14 at 5 p.m.
*Please be sure to clearly indicate the name of the walker who should receive credit for the donations you mail. You can put this information in the memo of the check.
Q: I never picked up my Incentive Awards on the day of AIDS Walk New York. How can I get them?
A: The deadline to turn in funds to qualify for Incentive Awards is Friday, June 14. Please visit the AIDS Walk New York office to pick up your awards Tuesday, June 18 through Friday, June 21 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., or by appointment. The AIDS Walk New York office is located at 446 W 33rd St, 6th Floor, New York, New York 10001. Please call our office at 212.807.9255(WALK) with any questions. In order to save money on postage, we will only mail awards on request.
Q: Are there still AIDS Walk buttons available?

Q: I was not able to come to the Walk. Can I still turn in donations and collect Fundraising Incentive Awards?
A: Absolutely, all donations can be sent to:

Q: Some of my donors sent in donations directly to the AIDS Walk New York office. Can I get a list of people who sent checks in to sponsor me?
A: We encourage you to ask your donors to send checks to you, so that you can record the donations on your Sponsor Form. You will then send donations to the AIDS Walk New York office yourself, clearly marked with your name so they can be credited to your fundraising total. However, if checks are sent directly to the AIDS Walk New York office to sponsor you, we do keep a record of the name of the donor, the dollar amount, and date the donation was received. Please call us to request that information.
Q: When will the website be updated with the donations I turned in on the day of the event?
A: While credit card donations made through the website will automatically appear on a walker’s personal fundraising webpage, we are not able to update the website with cash, checks, and matching gift donations. Walkers are encouraged to update their fundraising web pages by logging in and choosing the “Enter Offline Donations” option in the upper right-hand side of the screen. Simply follow the prompts to enter the information for each cash, check, or matching gift donation received. If you are a Team Leader, you will be receiving a Final Team Roster via email that will list all Team Members and their fundraising totals, both offline (checks, cash, and Matching Gift Forms) and credit card donations.
Q: I sponsored a walker online and it is not showing up on their page. What happened?
A: If the donation has cleared from your credit card then you may have accidentally made the donation under the General Donation Fund instead of a specific walker. Check your confirmation email; under your contribution amount you will see either the name of the walker that you attempted to sponsor or you will see “AIDS Walk New York.” If you see “AIDS Walk New York,” then the donation was made to the General Donation Fund and you can email or call us at email@example.com/212.807.9255(WALK) so that we can transfer the donation to the walker that you would like to sponsor.
Q: The total I see for myself or my Team Members on the Team Roster I received in your email is not correct. What happened?
A: See above regarding credit card donations accidentally made as a general donation. Another reason for the discrepancy may be that the donor sent in a check to the AIDS Walk New York office without designating whom they would like to sponsor. When this happens, we allocate their donation to our General AIDS Walk New York Fund. Please call the AIDS Walk New York office at 212.807.9255(WALK) and we will do our very best to match your records with the donations we have received in our office for you.
Q: When will final team totals and the 2014 Gold Team list be announced?
A: Gold Teams are the top 20 fundraising teams. The deadline to turn in money to be counted toward your team total and individual totals is Friday, June 14 at 5 p.m. Final team totals and the 2014 Gold Teams list will be announced in late June.
Q: How can my donors get receipts?
A: GMHC will automatically send a receipt for any check that is $100 or more. You can use your canceled check or your credit card confirmation email as a receipt as well. If one of your donors would like a receipt for a cash donation, or a check donation under $100, please call our office at 212.807.9255(WALK) and ask for Thom Medrano. He will mail your donor a receipt.

Q: I did not receive my Certificate of Completion at AIDS Walk New York. Can it be sent to me?
A: For walkers that did not receive a certificate of completion, please call the AIDS Walk New York office at 212.807.9255(WALK) and ask for one to be sent to you. We can send only one per walker.
Q: How can I get my community service paperwork signed?
A: Call the AIDS Walk New York office at 212.807.9255(WALK) and tell us the volunteer shift you completed. Once we verify your participation, we can send a letter confirming your community service.
Q: When can I register for AIDS Walk New York 2014?
A: Our website will be ready for team and individual registrations in December 2013.
Q: When do volunteer opportunities begin for AIDS Walk New York 2014?
