WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR AIDS WALK NEW YORK!
We have openings for the following positions:
MONITORS 6:45am-2:30pm Monitors direct the flow of the participant traffic, and help keep walkers safe at key intersections around the parade route. They must be outgoing, energetic and good communicators in order to guide the walkers safely. Monitor Volunteers get a front-row seat to the Walk, so they're also able to cheer the Walkers on and see all of the participants as they go by! You must be at least 16 years old and attend a mandatory orientation on Saturday, May 17 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
CROWD CONTROL 7:00am- 3:30pm Welcome Walkers as they enter Central Park and be part of the excitement at the start and finish line of AIDS Walk New York! Energetic and outgoing personalities are a must! Crowd Control Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and attend a mandatory orientation on Saturday, May 17 from 1pm to 2pm. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

CHECKPOINTS: MANDATORY Checkpoint Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, May 17 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Central Park, east of Sheep Meadow (Click HERE for map). We thank you in advance for attending this orientation. Your prompt arrival will ensure that the orientation runs smoothly and in a timely fashion. On Sunday, May 18, you will report directly to your Checkpoint no later than 8:00am – RAIN OR SHINE! Be sure to dress comfortably and leave your valuables at home.

DELINEATOR: On Sunday, May 18, you must arrive at Central Park no later than 7:00am – RAIN OR SHINE! This job involves lifting and you will likely get dirty, so be sure to dress comfortably and leave your valuables at home.
HOOPLAH / STRIKE CREW: On Sunday, May 18, please meet us at 10:30am at Checkpoint 4 (Click HERE for map). We will be cheering on the walkers as they cross the finish line and then will begin restoring Central Park to its pristine condition. You’re likely to get dirty so be sure to dress in old clothes (and in layers) and leave your valuables at home.

PHOTOGRAPHY: On Sunday, May 18, you must arrive at Central Park no later than 8:30 am – RAIN OR SHINE! Please meet at the Media Tent at Tavern on the Green (Click HERE for map), where you will receive your “PHOTO” credentials and the photography packet of information. . Be sure to dress comfortably and leave your valuables at home.
SATURDAY SET UP 1: On Saturday, May 17, please meet us at 10:00am at the Teams Meeting Area, at Rumsey Field (Click HERE for map), You’re sure to get dirty so be sure to dress in old clothes (and in layers) and leave your valuables at home.

**PLEASE NOTE: Sign-In is an accounting procedure that includes handling cash. To ensure the highest degree of safety for our walkers’ fundraising efforts, this year, we are requesting that all sign-in volunteers show identification to AIDS Walk staff on the morning of the walk. We’ll ask to see either a driver’s license, state issued identification card, or passport. VOLUNTEER LUNCH PREPARATION: Your shift runs from 9:00am – 2:00pm (don’t worry if you can’t make it for the whole time, we appreciate any time you can offer). Please go the 12th Floor of the GMHC Building, located at 119 West 24th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue.
