Thank you so much for your interest in helping us with this year's event! We need over 1,500 volunteers on Sunday, July 17 to ensure a safe and fun day for all. We have opportunities for everyone, even groups: you can greet participants, total donations, cheer on walkers and so much more! Please see our volunteer opportunities below and then let us know how you would like to help!

EVENING ACTIVITIES
Monday - Wednesday: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
If you are available to volunteer in the evenings, join us for "Cocktail Hour"! Help us with mailings for more than 25,000 AIDS Walk San Francisco participants, assemble Walker Kits and Team Materials, and assist with special projects in preparation for AIDS Walk San Francisco 2011.

PRIDE CELEBRATION *** CLOSED ***
Sunday, June 26, 2011
Take it to the streets! Use your outgoing personality to recruit and register AIDS Walk San Francisco participants at the San Francisco LGBT Pride Festival. Come march in our parade contingent and help spread the world about AIDS Walk San Francisco. This is a great way to meet new people while energizing San Franciscans about this year's AIDS Walk.

VOLUNTEER ON THE DAY OF THE AIDS WALK!
All activities take place on Sunday, July 17. Times vary according to position.

CHECKPOINTS *** CLOSED ***
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Our Checkpoint Volunteers help set up, manage and clean up our Walker Checkpoints along the Route. Distribute snacks and beverages to our dedicated Walkers. Help direct Walkers to services such as restrooms and first aid. All ages are welcome! This volunteer position is great for families and groups.

CHECKPOINT 4 *** CLOSED ***
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
NO ORIENTATION
Checkpoint 4 Volunteers help set up, manage and clean up our walker checkpoint at the start/ finish line. Distribute snacks and beverages to our dedicated walkers. Help direct walkers to services such as restrooms and first aid. All ages are welcome! This volunteer position is great for families and groups.

CROWD CONTROL
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Welcome Walkers as they enter Golden Gate Park and be part of the excitement at the start and finish line of AIDS Walk San Francisco! Direct walkers on the venue and guard restricted areas. Energetic and outgoing personalities are a must! Crowd Control Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

DELINEATORS
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
NO ORIENTATION
Help us assemble and "delineate" the AIDS Walk San Francisco Route before the Walk starts and break down the Route once Walkers have completed AIDS Walk San Francisco. Delineator Volunteers must be comfortable with physical activity and lifting. Be prepared to get a little dirty!

GREEN TEAM
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Keep it Green at AIDS Walk! We need volunteers to lead the way in preserving the beauty of Golden Gate Park. Help tell walkers what they can compost or recycle, and how to do it. You will help keep AIDS Walk as clean and as green as possible.

INFORMATION ARMY
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Help direct 25,000 AIDS Walk participants through Golden Gate Park! As a member of this elite group of volunteers, you will provide assistance to help Walkers turn in funds, find their team meeting stations, and other areas in Golden Gate Park. You will be the AIDS Walk expert that our Walkers will seek out on the morning of the event!

KID ZONE *** CLOSED ***
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
NO ORIENTATION
Help set-up and clean-up our KidZone, the location of family entertainment after the Walk. KidZone Volunteers must be outgoing, friendly and be at least 18 years old.

MONITORS
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7 a.m. - 2:30p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16. Time and location TBD.
Monitor Volunteers get a front-row seat to the Walk, so they're also able to cheer the walkers on and see all of the participants as they go by! Monitors direct the flow of participant traffic, and help keep walkers safe at key intersections around the Walk route. They must be outgoing, energetic, and good communicators in order to guide the walkers safely. Monitor Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or accompanied by an adult.

SECURITY
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Help with Crowd Control and security during the AIDS Walk San Francisco Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Security Volunteers must possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

SIGN-IN
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7:15 a.m. - 12 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16. Time and location TBD.
Be the first face participants see the morning of AIDS Walk San Francisco! Sign-In Volunteers check in Walkers and collect the funds they have raised. You must be friendly, outgoing and detail-oriented and have a valid photo ID. Sign-In Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and fluent in English.

TEAMS
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, July 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Assist us in setting up our Teams Area! A Team is any group of 2 or more Walkers - co-workers, students, religious/civic organization members, friends and/or family members - that raise money and walk together at AIDS Walk San Francisco. Teams Volunteers help us welcome these dedicated AIDS Walk participants as they join us in Golden Gate Park. Teams Volunteers must be comfortable with physical activity and lifting.

Help us as we process donations and total the funds turned in by our participants on the day of AIDS Walk San Francisco. Totaling Volunteers must have some experience with a 10-key calculator.
